K: Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, hands down. San Antonio doesn't have endless options of unique breakfast restaurants, so when Brandon suggested that we head downtown to The Guenther House for brunch, I obviously couldn't say no. The Guenther House is in the King William area of San Antonio, a gorgeous historic neighborhood with preserved homes dating back as far as the 1800s. We've always loved exploring this little area, although we don't get down nearly as often as we'd like. ... View the Post
Hunting for the Perfect Planter
K: Brandon and I have been persistent in our hunt for the perfect planter (you can see our inspiration here, here, and here). We're looking to add a little curb appeal and color to our front porch stoop and feel like a medium sized pot would be an ideal addition. During our quest, we stumbled upon this beautiful garden shop in the Alamo Heights area of San Antonio. It was an outdoor oasis with gorgeous plants and a fairly large selection of planters, all in varying sizes. While we didn't come to ... View the Post
A Lovely Morning at the Lavender Farm
K: I've never been a huge fan of the color purple; however, lavender is one of my favorite scents and this spring, Brandon and I vowed that we would visit a nearby lavender farm once the blooms occurred. We drove about thirty minutes outside of San Antonio to the most charming farm, complete with fresh peaches, farmers market veggies, chickens, and of course, lavender. Although our warm winter this past year caused mediocre blooms, we had a blast exploring the fields, relishing in the sweet ... View the Post
Lemon Print and Our Summer To-Do List
K: Summer is officially here! School ended last week for me, so today marks my start to summer. Although Brandon still has a traditional working schedule, I'm looking forward to some time to focus on One Swainky Couple and lots of exciting weekend dates for Brandon and I! We've always been very goal-oriented people and ever since we began dating, Brandon and I have been making little "to-do" lists. We thought we'd share with you what our goals and plans are for this summer. Leave a comment and ... View the Post
A Date at the Zoo
B: Growing up in San Antonio, I have been coming to its zoo since before I can remember. The sights and smells draw recollections of memories long past, but the main reason I love the zoo is because of its residents. I was glued to Animal Planet and Discovery Channel when I was younger, and at times in my life, I have felt that I know more about the animal kingdom than humankind. A significant contribution to my understanding of the would and its creatures (other than having a double major in ... View the Post
Lip Sense Love: GIVEAWAY
K: When Lip Sense distributor Natalie approached me on Instagram, I didn't even know what Lip Sense was. I quickly learned that it's a fabulous product that gives you kissable lips for hours, without the color fading away or peeling off. As a lipstick lover, I was immediately sold. Everlasting color without reapplication? It's every girl's dream. Not only that, but there's also a great benefit for guys as well. I chose the color "Apple Cider" and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a ... View the Post
