A Visit To Monahans Sandhills

Monahans Sandhills State Park Can you believe this is only 50 minutes from our house in Midland?! I'm embarrassed to say that this was our first visit to Monahans Sandhills State Park. With its close proximity, you can bet we will definitely be back! It is such a cool natural area with miles and miles of sandhills for exploration. You can rent toboggans and sled down the hills, walk around, pack a picnic, and obviously get some pretty cool photos! It's similar to White Sands in New Mexico, ... View the Post

Surprise Snow In Colorado

Our Winter Wonderland WOW. Colorado certainly put on a show for us this past weekend! When Brandon and I arrived, we were greeted with a thick layer of snow from their most recent surprise snow storm. We'd been anticipating the trip, thinking that we'd get to see the last of the fall foliage and do some hiking. Instead, the state was in full blown winter wonderland mode, and it felt more like a Christmas vacation than a fall trip. Honestly, it was exactly what we needed. We curled up by the ... A Weekend In Marfa, TX

Our Weekend In Marfa K: Brandon and I just got back from a weekend in Marfa, Texas. For those of you who may not know this small West Texas town, it's out in the middle of no where and about an hour and a half from Big Bend National Park. We've done Big Bend before (prior to our move), but we'd only passed through Marfa (see it here in one of our earliest blog posts!). Even just passing, we knew that we'd like to eventually return and explore the artsy, unique town. It was the perfect little ... View the Post

What To Do In Fredericksburg TX

What To Do In Fredericksburg TX The Texas Hill Country is one of our favorite places in the world; Fredericksburg is nestled right in the heart of Texas and we've made countless trips to this charming little German town. Brandon and I recently made our last trip up to Fredericksburg before our big move this summer. We're sad to be leaving this area of Texas but know that the west will hold its own set of adventure and exploration for the two of us. If you're planning a trip to the hill ... View the Post

Tips For Nervous Flyers

Tips For Nervous Flyers Our Argentina trip was for Brandon's 30th birthday and a bucket list item for him to check off. Of course, I wanted to support that dream happening, but when he started to tell me about the ten hour flight and then the multiple flights we'd do throughout the trip, I literally felt my stomach turn to knots and my chest tighten. For weeks, I anticipated the flights and the travel portion of the trip, doing my best to research tips for nervous flyers and anything that ... View the Post

Argentina Vacation Guide

Argentina Vacation Guide K: I'm really excited about today's post! This was such a huge trip and I knew we needed a dedicated blog post covering details and a guide of our three different vacation regions of the country: Patagonia, Mendoza, and Buenos Aires. Each one is almost its own vacation because they are so different! If we don't cover something that you'd like to know, please feel free to email us directly (oneswainkycouple@gmail.com) or leave a comment at the end! Argentina ... View the Post
