San Antonio Date Idea: The Japanese Tea Garden We're always looking for fun things to do around San Antonio together at budget friendly prices. The San Antonio Botanical Garden is a great spot, but the admission fee is $12 a person. It's definitely something that is worthwhile, especially if you're visiting; however, as locals, we like finding other hidden gems that are free and The Japanese Tea Garden is a gorgeous hidden gem. Located right next to the zoo, this is a must-stop spot for any ... View the Post
A Visit To The Flower Farm
A Texas Flower Farm The Arnosky Flower Farm is what dreams are made of. We drove a quick 40 minutes north to Blanco, Texas and stepped into a fantasy world with fields of blooming Larkspur, Lillies, and greenery. By now, you guys know that we can't resist an adventure together and when I discovered Arnosky Farms, I knew we had to visit. The owner, Pamela, told us about their plans for the farm and how they hope to evolve the space into a venue for weddings, showers, parties, and more. She ... View the Post
How To Create A Whimsical Floral Arrangement
The Vintage Bouquet Bar San Antonio is happening right now. In February, I went down to The Pearl Brewery area of town and stumbled upon the cutest little flower shop with a unique concept: sustainably sourced and local flowers, available for a "Build Your Own Bouquet". I immediately knew I wanted to do a blog post on this charming shop but got even more excited when I discovered that they offered floral arrangement classes. Fast forward to May, and I signed my mom and I up for a special ... View the Post
A Picnic On The Ranch
Davis Ranch Picnic I'm so attracted to the idea of a picnic date during the spring and summer. There's something romantic about packing a gourmet lunch or spread of snacks and enjoying a meal under the shade of an oak tree. Before we even got to Davis Ranch Retreat, I knew that I wanted to have that picnic and we packed accordingly. We've posted about a picnic date before here (it was last year on the blog) but I felt like this second one turned out so much better. We've mentioned it before, ... View the Post
Fiesta Date in La Villita
Our Fiesta Day Date K: We talked about Fiesta in Wednesday's post and you can catch up on the meaning of this "holiday" here. Brandon and I truly embrace the Mexican culture and influences here in San Antonio so Fiesta was the perfect excuse to throw on our brightest colors and patterns and pack up for an afternoon downtown. We went to the cutest little area of shopping called La Vilita, filled with art galleries, handmade items, and nearby Mexican food. Could you really ask for a better day? I ... View the Post
An Afternoon In Balboa Park
K: I think it's safe to say, this was our favorite day in San Diego. Brandon and I fully embraced tourist mode and ventured to one of the most well known spots in the city: Balboa Park. The only way I can describe the park is to compare it to New York City's Central Park in the fact that it has so many different areas, buildings, and opportunities hidden inside. We spent the entire morning there and then took a trip to the world-famous San Diego zoo during the afternoon. Tourist Mode K: I ... View the Post
