We Went To Prom!
Today’s post was such a last minute thing! I helped with our school’s prom this year and had to be there the full night. They needed as many chaperones as possible and I quickly signed Brandon up too haha! I didn’t intend on us taking any photos but when this dress came in the mail, I knew I wanted to share it, plus my mom offered to take a few pictures in her gorgeous backyard. I’m so glad we did!
Brandon and I didn’t go to high school together and even though we both attended Baylor, we didn’t know each other. That being said, we never had the chance to attend a “dance” or school function together. Even though it’s silly, it was kind of fun for us to get all dressed up for this occasion! It turned out to be a great evening, although we felt very old when we got home, exhausted at midnight.

On Monday, Brandon and I shared our big news that we’ll be moving in June. I just have to say thank you to all those who reached out, commented, and sent us love. We feel really grateful to have this as a community and honored that you’re invested in us and our life. I’m really excited to share more in time, especially with the new house! You guys are amazing and we’re thankful for each and every one of you who continually come back here to read our posts!
My Dress
I ordered this dress knowing that it would fit for lots of different occasions: a wedding, Brandon’s company’s annual Christmas party, and any semi-formal event. It’s just over $100 but easily looks like it’s $300! The quality was amazing. Excellent lace, well lined, and has a little “poof” to it for a great fit-and-flare silhouette. My headband is actually from a local wedding shop, Bella Bridesmaid and I wore it at our wedding. I linked a very similar option below at the bottom!
Wanted to round up a few other dresses that work work in any season for many occasions. Wedding season is upon us and any of these would be a great budget friendly choice!
