Amazing Beauty Hair Extensions
You guys may remember me talking about the filler hair extensions that I ordered from Barefoot Blonde about a month ago. I mentioned that I was curious as to what full length extensions would look like on me and with impeccable timing, Amazing Beauty Hair Extensions reached out to me and asked if they could send over a set of their extensions for me to review. Intrigued and excited, I said yes!
Since this was a different brand, I didn’t really know which extensions to pick but opted for the clip ins (like my BFB ones). They have the tape in extensions as a secondary option. I chose the extensions that appeared to match my blonde highlights, knowing that it might be just a little bit too light.
When they came in the mail (which, BTW, they came in three days!), I knew immediately that the color was a little off, just by one shade. That’s always a risk when ordering something online but I quickly discovered that there was an easy way to correct the color. Mine came just a little too “bright” and didn’t have enough ashiness to the blonde. Though the help of YouTube, I discovered that I could add in the cooler tones with a purple shampoo. I won’t dive into the details of the procedure (you can see the video tutorial I followed here), but all in all, it took me about ten minutes and helped correct the color to match my hair.
After putting all of the extensions in, I came to the conclusion that I was a bit overwhelmed. It was a lot of hair (for me) and the reason I wanted them to begin with was for thicker hair, not necessarily length. I wanted fuller ponytails, thicker braids, and the ability to do a cool up-do without my hair looking thin. So, I decided to mainly showcase my hair up, simply because that felt the most natural for me and because I know that’s how I’ll be utilizing these extensions. I only have three pieces in for this fun little braid up-do and I absolutely love the result! It’s natural and doesn’t look overwhelming with my frame. Not to mention, I won’t shock anyone by suddenly having long hair overnight!

Hair Extension Review
If you’re looking for hair extensions, here’s my thought on Amazing Beauty: they are so much cheaper than any other extensions I saw out there. Most companies run extensions at about $200 or more (for a full set) and these were less than $130. The downside is that they don’t have tons of options for color (or at least I didn’t see many options for myself; I have highlighted hair). If you’ve got a color that is easy to match, I say go for it with this company! My only concern would be if you have two tones to your hair or a color that is difficult to match. Other than that, the quality is great and the length is amazing!
Let me know if you have any specific questions! I’m new to hair extensions so I’m not an expert by any means. I think these were a great place for me to start and I think they’d work well for anyone curious about extensions before you splurge on a salon treatment or an expensive brand.

Beauty Routine Update:
If you follow us on Instagram, then you’ve probably seen my multiple Story posts about Pixi Beauty and Neutrogena. These two brands have been sending me products for the last six or eight months and I have found a few favorites that are now a very regular part of my routine. This is not a sponsored post, but I did want to take time to share a few of the gifted products that are truly a part of my day to day beauty routine now.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Line
Okay, I’ve posted about Neutrogena a ton (here, here, and here) but it is a tried and true favorite of mine. Not only are the products super affordable, but they really do work well. For my dry skin, the hydro boost line has been a lifesaver. I brought this face wash to Argentina, along with the SPF infused moisturizer and eye cream. We were on a plane every two or three days, and I can honestly say that my skin did not dry out once. This line saved me!!

Pixi Beauty
Pixi has both an incredible skincare and makeup collection. I’ve been loving their eyeshadow palettes, but more than anything, I’m using their rose skincare line and now, some of their more recent face masks. Brandon and I got home from Argentina with a big box on the doorstep. Of all the face masks, the mud mask is my favorite! I actually forced him to let me put it on him because his skin was so stressed from the 10 hour flight home. We both woke up the next day with a refreshed complexion and moisturized skin. Highly recommend this as a budget friendly buy!

Other “Must Have” Products Of The Moment
In additon to my list above, I am also loving ROC retinol moisturizer and eye cream. I use the Neutrogena products for daytime (since it has SPF) and then put a heavy dose of the ROC cream at night. This is my first true anti-aging product that I’ve kept up with and I have noticed a big difference in the firmness of my skin and minimization of fine lines. I have a feeling this ROC brand will be one that I continue to use through the years.

I’m also still using my Kiel’s night time oil for hydration. After using a toner on my face (post shower), I put on a few drops of this oil as the first step to moisturizing. Then, I follow with the ROC cream. It smells like lavender and helps to lock in moisture completely. Almost all of the products I use are drugstore available, but this one is not. It’s a higher price, but a few drops go a long way and I’ve had my bottle since December and still have tons left.
I have to close with my new favorite self tanner. I talked about this on Instagram Stories and am completely obsessed. I’m well versed in self tanning products but always had trouble with application. I’ve used everything from Jergens to St. Tropez and this Fake Bake Flawless Darker is the best of the best. It comes with gloves and an applicator mitt to ensure streak free application. The color has no hint of orange and creates the most beach appropriate dark glow. After using it repeatedly on our Argentina trip, I found that the color was buildable and didn’t come off patchy or weird when it was fading off. The only negative that I could see is that it lasts about two or three days before fading. I wish it was a little stronger, but I really can’t complain because everything else was a total win. This is going to be on constant repeat this summer for sure!!
