9 Pin-Worthy Entryway Ideas
Happy Monday! As part of our new year initiative to share more of what inspires us, we’re starting a fun, new series with “Pin-Worthy” home ideas. First up? Entryways.
We’re beginning with what might be one of the smallest spaces in an average home, but I love a warm and inviting entryway. It’s the first impression of your home together and can generally be updated on a budget, making it very easy to change or tweak with time. There are a few key factors that really stood out to us among our favorites and I’ve rounded them up below. Leave a comment and let me know which image inspired you the most!

A Statement Bench
The easiest update for an empty entryway is a pretty bench that can double as decor and functionality for your home. I love the look of this farmhouse entryway (above) and the subtle, neutral colors. Here are a few of our favorite benches to shop. Also keep an eye out for antique finds that could be reupholstered!

A Bold Color
While our home is mostly neutrals, I adore the idea of going bold with one major color like this beautiful cobalt blue above. My grandmother’s house had the prettiest dusty blue/green accent color everywhere, from her doors to her kitchen cabinets, and I think it’s a great way to add some interest and personality into a home.

A Painted Door
On the subject of paint, a colored front door adds instant charm. We painted our front door sage green (see it here) and I’m still just as in love with it as I was the first day. It’s a relatively cheap project that can be done yourself as a fun couples activity. Just type in “painted front door” into Pinterest and you’ll be blown away by the inspiration!

Statement Furniture
We actually have a similar piece of furniture sitting in our front entryway. Any slim table will do the trick and it serves as a great way to display a few meaningful objects: photos in frames, coffee table books, a candle, knick knacks from your travels, or just a vase of flowers.

Fresh Flowers Or Greenery
Is there anything more inviting than walking into a home and immediately seeing and smelling fresh flowers? This is the easiest update you can do! Run to Trader Joe’s and grab hydrangeas, fresh eucalyptus, peonies, or whatever is available. This instant update will surely leave you smiling.

Wallpaper!
I grouped the last two images together and to say I’m obsessed is an understatement. I love wallpaper and am so upset that our walls are textured because it prevents easy application for us in our current home. It’s definitely happening wherever we go next and I love the endless ideas and options that you have with this. Plus, an entryway or a small space like a bathroom is a fantastic place to start if you’re a little nervous.

I hope you found a little bit of inspiration here today! I know we had fun gathering these images and really thinking about what we love as common factors in an entryway. We look forward to continuing this series next month. If you have a preference on what kind of home space you’d like to see next, leave a comment below!
