Merry Christmas
Before we get any further, we have to take a moment and say Merry Christmas! Brandon and I are extremely thankful to have you in our “blog family” and grateful for your support and encouragement in our lives. We wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and hope that you have blessings, quality time, and lots of love surrounding you through this season. If you have a moment, read on to see our thoughts for the new year and why we’re taking a little bit of a blogging break.
Our Break For The New Year
When we started the blog, we were full of ideas and creativity. To some degree, we still are. That being said, lately Brandon and I feel like pictures have become a slight imposition and interruption for us. We’re also a little bit drained from the constant posts, the Instagram struggle, and some of the expectations that come along with blogging. I know we aren’t alone in these feelings, but especially since our blog revolves around our date nights and our travels together, we feel like it might be time for a little break or sabbatical to refocus and recharge. We want some time without documentation and feel like the winter season is best for that since it’s usually a little slower around here then anyway. We’re hoping to come back with a fresh perspective and new content, maybe even changing a few things up with what we share, how often we post, and our style of post. I created a short Google Survey to help us with this new direction and would absolutely LOVE your input. After all, you guys are the reason why we continue to do this!
We want to thank you all SO much for sticking with us. I don’t have a clear answer of when we’ll be back in 2019 but I anticipate a few weeks off. I want us to come back when we’re ready and eager to jump in. My biggest fear right now is that we’ll lose you guys! Please, please take a moment and sign up for our email list if you’re not already on it. This will be my first way to announce that we’re back to our posting schedule. We don’t email very often and when we do, it’s fun content like you see up on the site. Brandon and I would so appreciate your support in this break from the blog “business” and hope to see you still here in the New Year!! Again, thank you for understanding!
