A Date Night Dress For Fall
K: The ongoing problem with South Texas (and anyone living in the south), is that we’re ready for fall and everything that comes with it, but we never seem to truly have the autumn weather until November or December. I’m all about the fall feels. Pumpkin spice, crunchy leaves, but most importantly, autumnal colors. My strategy for fall fashion is to embrace the colors of fall while keeping a handful of summer fabrics in your wardrobe. This dress is a perfect example of a breezy, lightweight material that actually looks appropriate for fall, simply because of the color.
Autumn Colors
Lately, it seems as if this rusty orange color is everywhere. I used to believe that the color didn’t suit me, but now I’m quite the fan! I think the key is having a little bit of a tan (for me, that’s coming through our trusted Jergens Instant Sun that Brandon and I both use consistently). Whatever the reason, it has quickly become one of my most worn colors in the fall and I love the deep hue of oranges all through September, October, and November. I loved this dress from last year as another way to wear rust. Here are my favorite pieces that can be worn right now and through the season:
K: I also had to include the above picture so that you could clearly see how the dress is lined! I love well-made items like this and find that they hold their worth in my closet. The buttons down the side can also be undone for a sexier “slit” in the side of the dress. Finding versatile pieces like this one are key to establishing a wardrobe that doesn’t fade with the trends!
