6 Fall Outfits You Can Replicate
K: I spent some time over the weekend looking back at older content from last fall. One of the things I love about blogging is the ability to reflect and review on past events and seasons of life. Since everyone seems to be eager for cooler weather, I rounded up 6 fall outfits you can replicate easily. We’ve had so much rain lately and it’s been difficult to get pictures for us this past week and a half. Hope you enjoy a look back at some of my favorite outfits from last fall and I think you’ll find that they’re still in style for this year too!
1. Swing Dress & Blanket Scarf
Swing dresses are timeless and seem to return every season. Purchase in a color that will pair well with neutrals so that you can change up the look for numerous occasions. This blanket scarf seems to return every season as well and I have gotten so much wear out of mine. You can never go wrong with a scarf in the fall as a finishing touch accessory. It has the power to make any outfit look complete and pulled together. (Original Post Here)
2. Moto Jacket & OTK Boots
I love this look for a date night on the weekend! With so many Moto jackets to choose from, I think that you’ll find they easily stay in trend and can be worn through the winter. This classic brown color pairs nicely with anything and I kept things simple with a neutral tank underneath. Over The Knee boots are a fall staple and this Steve Madden pair from last year is back again with a slightly tweaked version. Keep in mind that both the jacket and the boots are what I consider “investment pieces”. You’ll want to spend a little bit more on quality so that you can ensure the pieces will last through the years. (Original Post Here)
3. Long Vest & Long Sleeves
One of my best purchases of last year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale was this gorgeous suede vest. I’ve worn it as a dress and layered it with long sleeve shirts. I found a comparable piece this year and I cannot recommend it enough, especially if you’re in need of a great neutral lightweight coat. (Original Post Here)
4. A Duster Jacket & Heels
The duster trend made an appearance last year and I’m noticing it again for 2018, especially in cardigan form. I love the look of longer coats and jackets, especially when paired with skinny jeans and heels. To me, this looks elevated for the workplace (easily switch the jeans for straight leg cigarette pants). It’s also a nice layering look for early fall when it isn’t too cool yet. You could easily shed the jacket in the afternoon when it warms up! (Original Post Here)
5. Bootcut Jeans & A Cardigan
The most classic look of all! I don’t think this will ever go out of style! Invest in a few quality cardigans to prevent replacements every single year. I love this wool blend Madewell sweater and the color goes with lots of autumn colors. I wore a tank underneath mine but you could swap for a long sleeve shirt or double with a sweater if it’s really cold! (Original Post Here)
6. Fall Sweater & Coordinating Hat
I love accessorizing with a hat in every season and fall is no exception. Tie it together with a coordinating sweater to complete the look. I recommend finding a hat that is brown, black, or tan so that you can maximize the wear from it. From there, it shouldn’t be difficult to find a sweater that pairs well. (Original Post Here)
