Summer days are drifting away and before we know it, fall will begin. As south Texans, we don’t really see fall weather until late October traditionally, but that doesn’t mean that I refrain from fall clothing. Oftentimes, I opt for layering pieces and stick with fall colors to feel spirited. When I saw this PinkBlush tank, I immediately pictured fall outfits with cardigans thrown on top, boots, and even leggings since the top is so long. It’s that perfect piece for Texans that looks like fall but allows you to still stay cool when the afternoons warm up. I’m loving all of the lightweight tops and layering pieces that PinkBlush has in stock right now for this time of year. If you aren’t familiar with the brand, I first talked about PinkBlush here in this post and have since found several other pieces that have made for fun additions to my wardrobe. Plus, their maternity section is unbelievable if you’re in need!
K: One thing that really struck me about this top was the detail in the lace and pattern. It’s lined and not super fitted at the waist area, making for a very loose and comfortable fit. I love that it isn’t a true peplum or anything because the top feels more free spirited than preppy to me. It would be perfect with any sort of cardigan thrown on top as an extra layer for fall and I’m even going to try layering a long sleeve tee underneath sometime.
K: In other news, we are leaving for our last summer vacation this Saturday! We’ll be flying to the Vail area of Colorado and I could not be more excited for some cooler temperatures! I’ve got a full fall wardrobe packed (which may be overly ambitious), and I know Brandon is eager for all of the outdoor activities. We plan on hiking, rafting, and relaxing as much as possible. When we come back, I’ll be starting my week back at school for teachers and then the first day will be here! The rest of August is bound to be a whirlwind but we can’t wait to share it with you all.
