What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? Why Should I Care?
I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is the best sale of the year. Although the sale happens in mid-July, it’s a time when retailers price their new fall collections and items at sale prices for the public. The sale has brand names like Tory Burch, Halogen, AG jeans, and thousands of beauty products, all discounted.
I quickly discovered just how much you can save during this sale and let me tell you, it’s worth it. Many of the pieces that I purchased last year were on repeat through the fall and winter months (like this trench and these leopard shoes). Even though July feels a little early to be buying fall items, it’s worth it to be prepared and think ahead, simply for the savings.
When Does It Start? How Can I Shop?
The sale begins with “early access”, a time when cardholders can shop the sale before it’s open to the public. You can get a Nordstrom card easily right here (I have one and love getting the Nordstrom notes and rewards that come with it). After early access, the sale opens to the general public but be warned: some items will have already sold out.
- Early Access: July 12
- Public Access: July 20
- End Date: August 5
If possible, I really recommend having the early access ability; however, this past year was my first with the card. In previous years, I always shopped on the day the sale opened to the public and I had pretty good luck with getting my items of choice.
You can shop the sale in any Nordstrom store or online. I typically do both! Nordstrom has free shipping and free returns always, so it’s really simple to shop online. We’ll be including a tab at the top of the blog with our his & hers Nordstrom sale picks as well. Hopefully, that will make it easy to see the noteworthy products that we’re loving this season. We’ll also be doing a preview of the items (during early access) so that you guys can see some products through try on sessions.
