Summer Days In The Garden
K: One of our favorite activities in the summer is to check out my mom’s garden. She planted it a few years ago and it’s absolutely thriving now. It seems like each time we see it, there’s something new growing or a new vegetable is ready to harvest. This time, the tomatoes and potatoes were in full force and we loved getting to be involved in the process. Like most gardens, this one is full sun and it only takes a matter of minutes for the sun to begin its burning process (especially because at this point in the season, Brandon and I are still extremely white!). We turned to Neutrogena Hydro Gel sunscreen to protect ourselves against the strong Texas sun.
B: If I’m being completely honest, I’m pretty bad about wearing sunscreen. I don’t know many guys who religiously apply it, and I’m often forgetful to pack it with me. Katherine has been helpful with this over the past year and this new Neutrogena hydro gel sunscreen doesn’t feel or smell like your typical SPF product. It’s weightless and actually hydrates your skin (or so I’m told). If most guys are like me, then you don’t use lotion or sunscreen but this product actually doubles as both; a win-win.
K: Lazy summer days and lots of time outside are ideal for both Brandon and I. My mom also has a pool in her backyard, so we can usually start in the garden and transition into the pool when we get hot. I’ve really tried to impress upon Brandon how important sunscreen is. We both have really fair skin (obviously, you can tell we don’t have our tans yet) and we burn easily without any SPF. I’m all about a sunscreen that feels weightless, doesn’t leave white streaks, and doesn’t smell like a sunscreen. Neutrogena ticks off all the boxes on my checklist with this Hydro Gel Sunscreen and I’m convinced it’s going to be my everyday protection this summer.
On Katherine: Cremeux dress (old, peach color available this season), Steve Madden shoes
On Brandon: Brooks Brothers polo, J. Crew shorts, Sperry shoes
