A Texas Flower Farm
The Arnosky Flower Farm is what dreams are made of. We drove a quick 40 minutes north to Blanco, Texas and stepped into a fantasy world with fields of blooming Larkspur, Lillies, and greenery. By now, you guys know that we can’t resist an adventure together and when I discovered Arnosky Farms, I knew we had to visit.
The owner, Pamela, told us about their plans for the farm and how they hope to evolve the space into a venue for weddings, showers, parties, and more. She hopes to have classes out there where people can come and learn more about the industry of cut flowers and leave with their own seeds to plant. Brandon and I loved this idea and vowed to return, especially during the fall months when they harvest Marigolds.
To us, there’s something so special about growing things. My mom has a garden in her yard, Brandon’s mom has a greenhouse, and we desperately want land of our own. Arnosky Farms ignited our passion even more, and we loved walking through the flower fields, dreaming of our own little piece of magic.
B: Since we went to the farm on Saturday, I took the opportunity to pick up a bouquet for my mom before Mother’s Day. We learned that Pamela supplies her flowers to Central Market and HEB grocery stores here in Texas! Katherine and I kept talking about how cool it was that we were seeing the blooms before they were harvested and before they ended up in our local grocery. It was a really neat experience!
The Outfits
Funny story on my outfits for the flower farm. I ordered the gingham off-the-shoulder dress, thinking it would be darling for this post. Suddenly, I wasn’t sure it would make it in time because shipping was a little slower than I anticipated. I quickly found this pink overall dress and white top combo on Asos. They offer free two day shipping over $150 and I added a few other things to the order to make sure we qualified. The two outfits ended up arriving in time and I couldn’t decide which one to wear! Both seemed perfect for the occasion and perfect for summer, so I just opted for two outfits. Which one do you guys like best? Which one would you wear this summer?
Two Minute Tuesday
B: On a separate note, Katherine and I introduced a new component to the blog yesterday! We’re calling it “Two Minute Tuesday” and you can read about our intentions here. Yesterday’s post was the first one and we’re really excited to add a fourth day into our blogging schedule for the summer. We hope that our Tuesday posts will allow you to see more of an inside look at what we’re up to, discover recipes, shop, or just stop by to see what small things we’re sharing and showcasing. Let us know what you think!
