Our Fiesta Day Date
K: We talked about Fiesta in Wednesday’s post and you can catch up on the meaning of this “holiday” here. Brandon and I truly embrace the Mexican culture and influences here in San Antonio so Fiesta was the perfect excuse to throw on our brightest colors and patterns and pack up for an afternoon downtown. We went to the cutest little area of shopping called La Vilita, filled with art galleries, handmade items, and nearby Mexican food. Could you really ask for a better day? I think not.
B: Fiesta wreaths and paper flowers are a big part of true Fiesta decor. Katherine and I had fun shopping around and snapping photos of our city. We often forget that San Antonio is so unique, simply because we’re immersed in it everyday. One of our major summer projects for the blog is a full San Antonio Guide where we highlight all of the best spots, restaurants, and hidden gems. Have any of you ever visited our city? Are you planning to visit soon? We’d love to know some of your questions or hear a few requests on what else you’d like to see us highlight in San Antonio.
K: Of course I’ve got to jump in on this dress for a minute. I don’t own a lot of true mini dresses where the hemline is really short. I think that was one thing that drew me to this dress because it felt so appropriate for a date. The peplum detail at the waist makes it so fun and flirty, and I absolutely adore the Mexican inspired pattern. I feel like this would be so perfect for Cinco De Mayo, a summer trip to Mexico, or even a summer party. I’m all about a pop of color and this cherry tomato red feels so fresh for the season. Plus, for the price point of $64, I couldn’t say no.
