All across the city, bloggers from San Antonio are scrambling to have a time at The Flower Vault, an “Instagram Studio” with themed flower rooms. Of course, Brandon and I had to check it out for the sake of the blog and our own Instagram account. We wanted to share our experience in case anyone’s interested in going, blogger or not.
At the beginning of the week, I went online and reserved our time slot for The Flower Vault. They are only open on the weekends and it functions more like a “pop up shop”, rather than an actual store. There were a few sold out time slots, but overall I didn’t have a problem finding us a space for Saturday afternoon. The website informs you that you can stay up to an hour even though the reservation time slot says thirty minutes.

Katherine’s Blue Dress
We arrived right on time, already dressed in our first outfit (still dying over the blue dress above). It was packed. Tweens and teens filled the rooms, taking selfies and boomerangs. I think Brandon and I got a little overwhelmed at first because we were under the impression that one room would be assigned and that there would be a time system of funneling people in and out of the small rooms. It was a free for all, general admission and you simply had to wait your turn in a room to get your pictures. I can’t say we loved this aspect of it and we wished that it was a little more orderly.
We brought three different outfits to shoot in three rooms that matched our blog aesthetic. There are two very dark rooms (still flower themed) but we felt like it didn’t fully fit with One Swainky Couple. You can see their website here with a link to the different rooms. Flower Vault does have a restroom so it was easy to change and I loved finding dresses that matched the vibe of each room.

Katherine’s Floral Dress
Overall, the space has a great concept. We talked to the owner and inquired if they were going to change the themes of the room. Personally, I was picturing seasonal changes like a fall vibe during October and fake snow during December. Although it was a challenge trying to work around thirteen year olds on a mission for the perfect ‘gram, we still had fun and I love the way some of our pictures turned out. If you’re a San Antonio blogger (or a blogger in town visiting), this is a great spot. If you’re in need of special pictures for your family or just want a creative afternoon, Flower Vault is ideal. For the admission price of $15, we felt like it was a pretty good deal!

Katherine’s White Dress
Last but not least, I have to talk about these dresses for a minute!! Each one is so perfect for a summer event. I’m picturing the blue one and the green one for a summer wedding, and the white one for a summer backyard party (dressed up or down). Any brides-to-be out there? These would be perfect for a shower or rehearsal dinner! Which dress is your favorite? Which room is your favorite? I’m dying to know!
