I have been SO excited to share today’s post! Humor me for a second and close your eyes. Think about that perfect dress in your closet: the one that works for a multitude of occasions, fits in all the right places, manages to be feminine yet functional, and makes you feel like you can do anything. I’ve had a few dresses in my lifetime that have made me feel this way, but I think we can all agree that they are difficult to find. Today I’m partnering with Virginia Dare Dress Company and am so excited to share a perfect dress with you all. Furthermore, all of the dresses in this line meet expectations of the perfect dress and will have a special place in your closet.
*Thank you to Virginia Dare Dress Company for sponsoring today’s post*
The print of this dress reminds me of a garden party in England and I think the setting for today’s post works perfectly for a little “Texas spin” on that. The timeless blue and white print, ruffled sleeves, and tie feature had my heart the moment I saw it online. This is a dress that works for spring but can easily take you into summer. I also love that it works for so many different events or occasions: baby showers, the office, brunch with girlfriends, even a date night out. Any dress that can work for more than one season and more than one occasion is a “yes” in my book.
Rebekah is the founder of the company and so genuine in her cause. She simply wanted to create a line of functional dresses that were timeless in design and inspired by life’s adventures. I immediately resonated with this as Brandon and I constantly think of the blog as a way to document our adventures together. Finding clothes that match our classic style choices, yet still allow us to explore is a necessity. Particularly for me, I’m a very feminine, girly girl and will always lean towards dresses, even on our many adventures. I guarantee you’ll find me wearing a dress in the desert of New Mexico this week during our travels. Details like the longer hemline and pockets make Rebekah’s dresses perfect for anything.
By now, you have to know that Brandon and I don’t just work with anyone. Like many blogs, we’re very particular about who we work with and Virginia Dare Dress Company was a no brainer. You can read the full story of the company’s birth here but we were most impressed with the quality and the customer service provided. Free shipping and free returns are a guarantee if you have to return a dress, and Rebekah sends an extra dress size for you by request. So just in case your regular size doesn’t fit the same, you’ve got a backup to test out before you make a decision. She’s also offering free shipping to you as a reader with the code: ONESWAINKYCOUPLE.
I also have to say a few words about the gorgeous packaging. My mother always says that packaging is important and you can tell a lot about a gift or the giver by the way that it’s wrapped. My dress came delivered with beautiful handmade cards (pictured below), a packet of tea, a tea cookie, business cards, beautiful tissue paper, and floral tape. Professionalism is an obvious factor for the company, but the quality and attention to detail is what stood out the most.
Okay, I’m finished raving now! I hope that you can see the genuine enthusiasm I have about this company and the beautiful dress that they provided! I’m so excited to see what other styles and patterns they come out with in the future.
