B: We’re back with another fun date idea for you all! This time, specifically for the cold, winter months. We know that many of you live somewhere chilly and that you don’t always have the option or ability to spend time outside. While San Antonio isn’t known for being cold, we had a stretch of freezing temperatures in the twenties about two weeks ago. Katherine and I decided that we were limited to indoor activities and took the opportunity to explore the new Witte Museum in San Antonio, leading us to conclude that any museum is a perfect winter date.
K: One thing I love about this museum is its setting. Nestled in a gorgeous park, the Witte is made up of stunning stone and picturesque trees that happened to change colors this past fall, a few of which still managed to show through in these photos. We had just as much fun exploring the outside of the museum as we did the inside.
B: One of their big new exhibits were the dinosaurs. Newly added and quite impressive, the Tyrannosaurus rex and the Acrocanthosaurus captivated Katherine and I. If you know me, then you know that I love animals and can name almost every species. Katherine and I liked this museum simply because of the conversation that it allowed between us. If you’re looking for a museum to visit in your city, make sure you scope out the exhibit possibilities online and choose one that’s going to be exciting for you and your date.
K: Side note here on this adorable cowl neck dress: I first showed this on Instagram and I’ve worn this dress too many times to count! It feels like pajamas, has great coverage for a sweater dress without being too tight, and managed to actually keep me warm. The dress is currently on sale at Loft (50% off), and I imagine that it will be gone soon!
Location: The Witte Museum // San Antonio, Texas
