K: As we creep towards the month of February, it’s no secret that we’re in the thick of winter. I’m starting to get tired of my winter sweaters and was looking for outfit inspiration when I remembered this poncho from several years back. It’s so easy to throw on over a plain shirt, and I love how much added warmth it brings draped around my shoulders. Paired with a classic beret hat, and this is an easy outfit to recreate, especially because of all the poncho/cape varieties out there right now. I’ve rounded up my favorite capes (and berets, of course) so that you can shop them for yourself as an easy outfit to replicate. Which combination would you pick?
B: As far as easy winter outfits for guys, it doesn’t really change all that much from the fall. A classic button down layered underneath a sweater will always be a good choice for any man. This particular day was surprisingly warm and I shed my sweater quickly when the sun started to peek out. The trick with making an old button down feel new is finding a new pair of pants to wear it with. If you’ve been following for a while, then you know that I have a small obsession with Banana Republic chino pants and I essentially own every color they make. Khaki is timeless, but try pairing your button down with something bold like this pair or this pair as a welcome change.
We took a little break from traveling after the holidays and have yet to take any trips during 2018. That being said, Brandon and I have already scheduled four trips between now and April as of this weekend! We hope you’re ready for a whole lot of travel content to come your way. Our first big trip will be in mid-February and we will be heading to San Diego, California! Neither of us have been before so if you have any suggestions or recommendations, please leave a comment below! Additionally, we’ve got a “glamping” trip in February not too far from San Antonio. Ever since our Big Bend camping adventure, we’ve wanted to “glamp” and this is going to be the perfect opportunity! Stay tuned! We’ll be sure to give updates before we leave.
