K: Every girl wants that perfect outfit that will work for any occasion. If you’re like me, then you long for something that can be worn to work, a date, a party, church, brunch…the list goes on. I’m here to tell you that this is not some magical unicorn of an outfit that doesn’t exist; in fact, I’m proud to say that I found it with Cuddy Studios’ new floral print dress.
The playful pattern and plum colors are season-less and could definitely work for a variety of events. Pair it with tights and boots for a more casual vibe; dress it up with heels and jewelry like I did here for a more elevated ensemble. The silhouette and style of the dress are classic and I can’t help but feel like the rich jewel tones would make for a great holiday outfit, especially if you play up the red colors.
B: When in a situation where I do not know exactly what the event will be like, I always fall back on a few particular items. Colored pants of various shades are a “go-to”, and a coordinated button-down/sport coat combo works in every setting. In fact, I have never been to an event where my sport coat was the wrong choice.
As a guy, my general rule of thumb is based on color. The brighter the colors, the more informal the situation or gathering should be. Muted or classic grays, browns, blues, and blacks are always going to be appropriate in a more formal setting. Last but not least, a great watch and a stylish pair of shoes helps me feel more put together and at ease with any situation I might come across.
K: I’m absolutely obsessed with this cobalt bag from Oliver Bilou. I love that the company creates affordable yet high quality bags that can serve perfectly for date night or for work. Once again, you’ve got a versatile item that can be used for a multitude of purposes. I also gravitated toward the company because of their consistent effort to improve children’s lives and the fact that with each purchase of a bag, Oliver Bilou donates a portion of that back to children’s charities. What’s not to love about that?
K: On a separate note, it feels so good to be back! Brandon and I took a short blogging/social media break last week in the hopes of building up holiday content. We’ve got some exciting posts coming your way so be sure and pay us a visit every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!
