Your Strategy for Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:
As every Nordstrom lover says right now, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” The Anniversary Sale is upon us and officially started yesterday for cardholders. We’ve rounded up our top picks, narrowing it by category. The sale is a great opportunity for you to stock up on fall wardrobe items from designers while shopping it at a discounted price. After having shopped the sale for numerous years, I know from experience that you definitely want to go in with a strategy. Here are a few tips for everyone looking to shop:
1. DO look through last year’s fall wardrobe items in your closet. If you’ve already got five blanket scarves (I’m definitely guilty of this), don’t succumb to buying another just because it’s on sale. Take note of what items may be missing or what items need to be refreshed.
2. DON’T buy a lot of summer items. Even though it’s July, don’t buy a lot of items that can come across as summery. While you may be able to wear them now, I’d stay away from these unless they are a transitional piece. Fall will be upon us soon enough and you’ll want to purchase items that can be worn through fall and winter.
3. HIT UP THE SHOES. I always buy shoes first. Fall booties like these and these (under $100) are some of the first items to go in popular sizes. 4. PLAN AHEAD. If you know you have a wedding in the fall (or maybe you want to get a head start on Christmas shopping or back to school shopping), go ahead and buy now! Nordstrom has so many awesome gift sets included in the sale, as well as sweaters and items that are perfect for going back to school or work in the fall. The sale runs through July 20 so you’ll want to make sure and snag your favorite pieces before then! Shop everything right here.
