How To Plan A Picnic Date

K: Brandon and I have been wanting to do a picnic date for a very long time. There’s something irresistible about well-thought out snacks and wine at a quiet park or green span. This adorable little basket from Pottery Barn is perfect for the occasion and I imagine we’ll be getting some use out of it this summer! This is such a simple date activity for any couple during the spring and summer months. We’ve listed a few picnic necessities below to ensure a lovely afternoon for you and your guy! 

K: This dress is such a steal at just $18.00. I love the minty tones, the midi length, and the airy quality that it possesses. Paired with gladiator sandals, it was the breeziest outfit for a warm evening. In the summer months, you’ll find me wearing comfortable dresses 90% of the time. I just can’t handle blue jeans with sweltering Texas temperatures and find that I’m much more comfortable in a dress than anything else. B: Tara was having a blast during this photoshoot. Between pictures, we would throw the tennis ball for her to retrieve. Upon retrieval, she would stand patiently right next to us in the cameras picture frame for us to throw the tennis ball again. When the food came out, she was more persistent towards acquiring a snack, and probably actually ate more from the assortment of snacks than Katherine and myself. Tara is a happy girl that loves being able to run free and chase her tennis balls in every environment, especially grassy green park fields.

K: When packing for a picnic, I try not to overdo it. Toting food is always hard and I found that most of our items (crackers, cheese and almonds) were able to fit in the wicker basket. I packed a small bag for the wine, french bread, and grapes, layering them in with our blankets to sit on. Get creative with your meal! Obviously, we opted for a wine and cheese picnic since it was later in the day; however, I think we’ll be doing gourmet sandwiches for our next one!
