K: 1. Aveeno Body Wash: My dad works for Johnson and Johnson so I’m a huge supporter of their products and brands (Aveeno, Neutrogina, Clean and Clear, etc.). We are able to get discounts on their items and I first received this body wash in my stocking at Christmas. The mild, clean scent isn’t overpowering and balances between refreshing and relaxing. Brandon and I both use this body wash more than any other and the soft scent carries through any day.
B: 2. TRESemme Hairspray: Hairspray is a must for hair staying in picture perfect place all day long. Everyone has their preference of hairspray strengths and scents. I prefer the strongest hold while Katherine prefers a more moderate strength for holding just the right amount of hair in place. I have found in trying various brands over the years that better scents do not equal better holds; thankfully, the scent does not last all day long, while miraculously, the hold does.
K: 3. Neutrogena Face Wash: I’ve been using this face wash for years! I think I purchased my first bottle when I was only twelve. Nothing has changed since then and it’s still my favorite. Now, I’ve got Brandon using it as well. It takes off all my makeup and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean. They also have a fantastic grapefruit scent as well.
K: 4. Tweezers: As any girl may tell you, tweezers are a must. Most girls don’t think about handing this tool over to their husband, but well-groomed eyebrows are a necessity for any person. Brandon will pluck on occasion, just to keep his brows looking clean. Don’t forget that this can be a shared tool that you both use!
B: 5. Lubriderm Lotion: Lotion is a necessity to everyone, including guys. There is no need to have a dried out and rough face and hands just to prove a point of how manly you are. Lubriderm has always made a great product with just the right amount of essentials without adding all of the scented flowers and such that makes me, and most guys sneeze. I am actually allergic to most everything, and most scented lotions will make will make my hands and skin break out. This Lubriderm lotion, which is designed specifically for men in mind, contains a note of aftershave scent that will sooth even the most sensitive skin and doubles as cologne.
B: 6. Soap Infused Loofah: I was introduced to a loofah from a stocking stuffer gift. Upon first use, I was hooked. Such a great idea. I have always been a wash cloth kind of guy, but someone really thought things through combining a traditional loofah with scented soap. The loofah leaves your skin feeling tingling, and most importantly, clean. Wash cloths still have their place in my shower, but loofah’s have quickly earned some bragging rights.
B: 7. Neosporin: No matter if you have a paper cut, or a stitch worthy gaping cut, Neosporin is ready for the job. I have cut, scraped, and gouged myself too numerously to count doing just typical everyday things. To prevent my body from becoming too terribly scared, I reach for bandaids and Neosporin. Even Tara has had her fair share of Neosporin applications ranging from cracked paw pads, to irritated skin from the removal of cactus thorns. I am convinced Tara loves the attention of being petted and attended to during the Neosporin application process.
K: 8. Cutex Nail Polish Remover: Okay, this product is not for guys obviously. However, I felt inclined to mention it because of how shocked I was after using it for the first time a few weeks ago. I’m notorious for picking at my nail polish once I start to see it chip. It bothers Brandon to see chipped nails and I’m bad about removing the old polish (partially because of the strong smell nail polish remover can have). These little wipes are saturated in remover, but they do not smell. I was also amazed at how quickly they took the polish off. I didn’t have to sit there and use five cotton balls. It was all in one small wipe and came off easily.
B: 9. ChapStick: This is the one product that has never left my side. I am a lip balm addict. I have literally ran the gamut with every variety of lip balm since my high school days, but nothing compares to the ChapStick Brand Original Moisturizer. It stays in my pocket all day long, or when necessary, tucked between my waistline and a swim suit. Where most brands will melt and become an oily mess, this brand stays cool and satisfies my twice-hourly lip balm bumps.
K: 10. Jergens Instant Sun: This is a must for both Brandon and I! We’re convinced we look better with a tan but due to our work schedules lately, it seems as if we can’t get outside much. As opposed to the gradual tanning lotion, this mousse acts instantly, leaving your skin with a healthy summer glow. We apply it weekly and usually do it right before a photo shoot. It makes our skin look so much better on camera!
